Last we featured the relaxView 4.0 video eyewear – lightweight, comfortable and with a large viewing area when you pop them on. The downside was the price – around 449 Euros. Well, over at Brandish, the team has found a more entry-level pair of video glasses with plenty to offer – the iTheater movie glasses.
Retailing at less than half the price of the relaxView 4.0, they’ll still make you look like a Star Trek extra, but if you can take that on the chin, the twin TFT LCD monitors will trick your eyes into thinking you’re watching a 50-inch screen from around 8.5ft away. Pretty impressive.

It’s now possible to be totally absorbed in entertainment, even in an aeroplane or in the back seat of a car. See “iTheater portable video glasses.” I wonder if Timothy Leary had any idea about this
