MSI has been busy during CES, introducing a range of devices, including three new PCs – the pick if which has to be the HATO notebook to keep your heart healthy.

Yes, recognising the levels of stress many people are under, the company has unveiled the HATO notebook. According to the official press, “MSI is eager to play an active role in keeping you happy and healthy”. It’s doing that by adding heart monitors to the traditional notebook to keep tabs your electrocardiogram record, with online access to a doctor possible should there be any problems (and if he or she is agreeable to the idea). Nice idea, but I can’t see it catching on.

Also launched by MSI is the Media Live media PC, with all the necessary multimedia PC capabilities for viewing and sharing photos on the TV, play CDs and DVDs, managing your media and browsing the web, all powered by AMD AM2 64 processor and running under Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.

And finally, there’s the Crystal Notebook Collection, which features a ring on top of the notebook casing featuring 120 pieces of genuine Swarovski crystal. It also features a glossy UV light coating, creating what MSI describe as a “exquisite tastefulness”. You can make your own mind up on that one.
