CES 2007: Samsung launches entry-level L73 digital camera and i70 digital camera/media player
Samsung has a host of new cameras on show at the CES, including the entry-level L73 digital camera and the camera-meets-media player that is the i70.
The Samsung L73 is an entry-level point-and-shoot camera in either black or silver with a 7MP image sensor, 3x optical zoom lens and a 2.5-inch LCD screen. Features include Samsung’s Intelligent Face Recognition Technology, which detects the subject’s face, automatically adjusting auto focus and auto exposure for people-based pics. There’s also AS image stabilisation for better images in poor light, with the option of taking two images (with and without) for you to select the best. There’s also a movie mode (30fps), scene modes, voice recording and 19MB of storage., which can be boosted cia SD card.
The more quirky-looking Samsung i70 is a 7.2MP camera with 3x zoom, a large 3-inch LCD and again features Samsung’s Intelligent Face Recognition Technology. Add to that multimedia features – it’s a portable music, video player and text reader. Add to that I(Intelligent)-movie capability, which supports TV quality MPEG-4 (720×480) at 15fps, along with image stabilisation and in camera editing.
Both models will be available from February, no price as yet.
