Echo Robot looks for other friendly bots

It’s not just for romantic matchmaking, though the Echo Robot will definitely work for that. Basically, you program your profile into it, and it uses Bluetooth to scan for other Echo bots with compatible profiles. When it encounters somebody with whom you have something in common, it lets you (and/or them, depending on how you’ve configured your bot) know somebody interesting is in your sphere. Ten years ago, we were snickering at Japanese people for having primitive jewellery that did this. Now it sounds pretty cool. (Did we get that much lonelier over the last ten years?) [GT]
