3GSM 2007: Nokia launches 6110 Navigator with built-in GPS system
Nokia has unveiled its 6110 Navigator handset, described as “a navigation-enabled mobile phone designed for the mass market”.
The 6110 Navigator offers out-touch routing and navigation, allowing you to view your current location on the map, search for destinations, find specific routes, or locate services such as restaurants, hotels or shops. It features full turn-by-turn 3D navigation, the best route to follow either by car or foot, voice guidance or by using arrows on the screen. A local map is pre-installed on the memory card. Additional maps and content – such as traffic information, weather services and travel guides – can be purchased online.
Aside from the navigation, the handset also features fast HSDPA connectivity, a 2.2-inch QVGA screen, Push Email (as well as a Message reader function to read your emails out loud), video calling, a 2 megapixel camera, 40 MB internal memory, support for microSD memory cards and a talk-time of up to 3.5 hours.
The Nokia 6110 Navigator is expected to begin shipping in the second quarter of 2007. Check with your network of choice for pricing.
