Go for the lowest quality setting and the DS-50 will provide up to 275 hours recording, progressively less as you work your way through the five settings. Add to that a removable microphone, USB connectivity, 1GB of built-in storage and playback in MP3 or WMA and you’ve got a decent little gadget for the £249 price tag.
