Mentos Geyser Tube – controlled explosions from a diet drink
You may recall the Diet Coke and Mentos mints experiment from some months back – essentially just dropping a mint into some Diet Coke and watching it spout triumphantly in the air. Well, now there’s a kit to do it in style – the Mentos Geyser Tube.
What this contraption does is offer a more controlled environment to be very silly with a fizzy drink and a mint. Load the Mentos mints into the screw-on transparent tube, lock it on your plastic pop bottle (any fizzy drink will do but diet stuff works best) and pull the pin. You’ll get the 30ft shot of pop – but with improved accuracy and without getting drenched in the sticky mess.
