Sanyo's Xacti HD2 camcorder set for UK launch

It might have the looks of a vintage super 8 camera, but the Sanyo Xacti HD2 camcorder is a very modern piece of kit – and it’s heading to the UK next month.
The big selling point is pocket-sized filming in 720p HD, as well offering up 10x zoom and a 7.2 megapixel camera for your stills. It also comes bundled with a HDMI dock so you’ll be able to see your efforts on your HD-ready TV. Ready edited too – as you can edit your movies on the camera, as well as being able to burn to DVD with the bundled software. Storage is via SD or SDHC card.
If all that impresses you, it goes on sale on April 1st, with a £500 price tag.
