Web 2.0 site of the day: Twitter

Does anyone really need a new way to communicate electronically with friends? After all, we’ve got email, instant messaging, voice-over-IP, virtual worlds and text messaging, which should be enough to keep up.

That hasn’t stopped the people behind Twitter, a new Web 2.0 service. It’s like the bastard lovechild of instant messaging and RSS, with you signing up a bunch of friends and then all writing regular 140-character posts to keep in touch. Read Techscape’s review for more information.
