Beauty goes Web 2.0 with SimplyCity and Osoyou.com
Share
Proof that the Web 2.0 trend is reaching out beyond geeks: the cosmetics firms and fashionistas are getting involved.
SimplyCity is a new online community launched by skincare firm Simple. The idea is that you sign up and fill in surveys for the company, which will be used to plan future products and marketing campaigns. In return, you get to access an exclusive online store to buy cheap Simple products. Nice.
Meanwhile, Osoyou.com hasn’t launched yet, but when it does later this summer, it’ll be a portal for fashionistas, offering shopping and a healthy dollop of social networking. It’s aiming to take on similar sites launched by fash-mag publishers Conde Nast and Natmags.
