Drunk Brits reveal themselves online
In a recent survey by Paypal, 15% of respondents said that they had revealed personal information about themselves whilst under the influence of alcohol.
Details shared include medical details and love life problems.
A lot of those people regretted it the next day.
Brits don’t appear to be particularly reserved online, even when they’ve not had a few too many. 7% of those questioned discussed their love life and 11% their medical history even when sober.
The danger is that they could inadvertently give away personal financial information, or other data which could lead to identity fraud.
Maybe computers need to be fitted not just with fingerprint readers, but also with a breathalyser, with the Internet connection being cut when someone is under the influence.
