Casio boosts the megapixel count to 12 on the Exilim Zoom EX-Z120
It’s debatable whether the steady increase in megapixel count really does make much difference to the digital snaps of the average man on the street. After all, if you’re just sticking them on the web, it really doesn’t matter. But just in case you want to print off large digital pictures, you might be interested in Casio’s latest snapper – the Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z120.
It offers 12 megapixels, along with a 1/1.7-inch CCD, 3x zoom lens and the Exilim Engine 2.0 for image processing. There’s also Face detection and motion analysis technology for locking onto a subject’s face and then track it as the person moves.
Add to that a 2.8-inch wide LCD, SDHC card support, three shot per second burst mode, and H.264 video recordings at a maximum 848 x 480 resolution and 20fps. Amazon in the UK will be selling it for £243.75.
