Could YouTube be paying your mortgage?

When it first started, no-one could believe that a company was offering free video hosting. Now things have really gone full circle with the news that YouTube could be paying you for uploading your videos.
Well, it’s not that straightforward. YouTube’s revenue sharing program is by invite only – and that means people creating original content and indeed, content that brings with it hefty traffic.
Ads will be placed near that content – and if it is clicked, you get a cut. I’m guessing it isn’t being rolled out to all users to stop the copyright infringers making money out of clips – but I would like to be proved wrong.
