You’ve paid good money for your music, why should you share it for free? You don’t have to with the Sennheiser PXC 450 NoiseGard 2.0 headphones, claimed to be the world’s best for noise-cancelling.

In fact, Sennheiser claims you’ll be wrapped in a ‘cloak of silence’ as you kick back on the train or plane, with background sound kept out and your music kept in thanks to the NoiseGard 2.0 electronics. Other features include continued use, even if your battery dies, 20 hours use from a single AAA battery and a ‘TalkThrough’ button so you can actually hear what’s going on around you, without having to take off your headphones.

All controls in held in one cluster on the right capsule, with touch-button electronic volume control and a soft fade-in and fade-out when using the power switch. There’s also a tough ‘travel-proof’ construction, ultra-soft earpads, a fold-flat design for using on the move, a travel case and detachable cables.

Available later this month, they retail for £299.99.

  • why do they keep making noise cancelling headphones with a volume control? isn’t your iPod close enough for you to reach its volume control? how about they get rid of the volume control and the talkthrough feature and reduce the number of batteries?
