More strange and wonderful Japanese gadgetry – this time from Thanko, which has launched this MP3 Clock.
Yes, this is no ordinary clock, despite looks to the contrary. Those bells are speakers, ready to blast out digital sounds. You can hook up it up to PC to transfer your tunes or you can go with one of the animal calls or sound effects that come with it. Even better, if you record your own voice, you can shout at yourself to get up in the morning.
And it tells the time, just like an old-fashioned wind-up. This is Japan only right now – and good value too with a price tag equivalent to £13. If it comes over here, I’ll be at the front of the queue.
