Yoggie Pico – world’s first full security suite on a USB stick
Worried about security on the PCs you use? Well, if you happen to have the Yoggie Pico in your pocket, you will be secured by a total of 13 security applications – the first time a complete security suite has been available on a USB stick.
The Yoggie Pico is apparently a full Linux-based computer, which offloads all security applications onto the USB stick, allowing internet traffic to be screened before it executes on the laptop or PC. Only once it has been cleansed is it allowed to enter the computer. The programs on the stick include anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-phishing, anti-spyware, firewall and parental control.
To use it, just stick it a USB port – no complicated install and it works and stays updated as long as it stays connected. The Yoggie Pico is available in two formats – The Yoggie Pico Personal for the consumer market and the Yoggie Pico Pro for business, with both holding a 520 MHz CPU and 128MB memory of memory.
Expect to pay around £95 for the Personal and £106 for the Pro, which includes updates for the first year. They should ship in September 2007.
