YouTube video player gets a revamp

With about, ooh, 837 different video-sharing services out there, you can’t rest on your laurels even if you’re the top banana. It seems Google has been beavering away on an all-new YouTube video player, with some subtle yet welcome tweaks to make it a bit more interactive.
The Google Operating System blog has info and screenshots, claiming one improvement will be the ability to jump to anywhere in a video even if it hasn’t fully downloaded yet, while another is the ability to browse ten related vids via a Mac OS X style scrolling dock within the video frame itself.
Apparently the changes show up if you embed YouTube videos within your Facebook profile already. Which is nice.
