Bowers & Wilkins redesigns and relaunches 600 Series entry-level range of speakers
Bowers & Wilkins has shifted over 2.5 million units from its 600 range of speakers since the year 2000. But seven years down the line, it’s time for a new look and new technology, which you’ll get with the updated 600 series.
All feature classic B&W technology, including Nautilus tube tweeters and Kevlarâ mid/bass units, as well as a contemporary new look, with soft touch front panels and diamond-cut, brushed aluminium tweeter trims complete the design. The new series includes the 685 Theatre package – a bookshelf-based speaker arrangement best suited for more confined listening environments and including a pair of 685’s for the front left and right, an HTM62 centre speaker, a pair of 686’s for the rear and completed with an ASW608 subwoofer. This system retails for £1206.
The 684 Theatre package is designed for medium-sized to larger living rooms and features a pair of 684 speakers with the larger ASW610 subwoofer, an HTM62 centre speaker and a pair of 686s for £1626. Finally, the 683 Theatre package is designed for listening to music and watching film in large, open spaces, using a pair of 683 speakers with an HTM61 centre speaker, a pair of rear DS3 dipole/monopole speakers and the ASW610XP subwoofer. That will set you back £2546.
The new Bowers & Wilkins 600 series is available from July 2007.
