Fring expands its mobile VoIP service to Windows Mobile smartphones
The mobile operators don’t like it, but more and more companies are putting Voice over IP services on mobile phones. Fring has been doing it for a while, but the company has just announced that its application now works on all Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 devices. That’s about 300 smartphones and Pocket PCs, folks.
Passing speedily over the company’s desire that its users be known as ‘fringsters’, the software lets users make VoIP calls, and indulge in multiple hot live chat sessions. No, not that kind of hot live chat. At least, they don’t advertise that as a feature.
