Motorola has launched Motocast, a new service that offers new and information direct to a mobile screen – without the click of a button.

Reuters is the first company to take advantage of the service, which provides constantly-updated new and information without the need to visit a site – a news feed if you like. In fact, Reuters is pretty much the only provider right now, offering national, world, entertainment, fashion and sports stories throughout the day. The second content provider is Motorola itself, with Motorola news and promotions, plus one click access to download wallpapers, ringtones, applications and games.

Motocast is expected to be available on selected MOTORAZR V3, MOTOKRZR K1, MOTORIZR Z3 and W510 phones from the end of April 2007. The service requires 1.35MB of data a month.
