Navman launches iUpdata service – update the road network yourself
Although most sat nav devices claim to offer constantly updated road information, there’s always a few tales of driving horrors in the press – lorry stuck in lake, driver lands in swamp – you know the kind of thing. Which is where Navman’s iUpdata service comes in.
It allows users to report any changes to the road network – new roads, one-way streets, new housing developments for example. Head to the Navman website and you can this information yourself. But before you wags enter a new road over the River Severn or over the edge of a cliff, note that all comments are passed onto the mapping team for verification.
No-one is that trusting.
