Now the London 2012 Olympics logo is causing epileptic seizures…
Kat’s already had her say about the London 2012 logo, which has been commonly acclaimed as a design that would’ve been better left as a 1980s MTV channel ident. But now things have gone from bad to worse for the poor logo.
Apparently, an animated sequence of the logo in motion has been causing epileptic seizures. The animation was on the official 2012 website, but has now been taken down, and will be re-edited to chop out the offending footage. Still, you’d think someone would have thought to test it before unveiling it to the world.
It’s more ammunition for the many Brits who plan to spend the next five years rubbishing our chances of hosting a successful Olympics. Although sadly, the controversy doesn’t appear to have changed the organising committee’s mind about its chosen logo.
