Philips launches Bluetooth-friendly home audio systems
Philips has launched the BTM 628 and BTM630 home audio systems – both appearing initially in the US and both packing Bluetooth for connecivity to your phone and in the case of the 628, your iPod too.
The main difference between the two is that iPod hook up. The 628 offers a separate iPod dock, which wirelessly connects your player to the system, as well as having separate speakers and CD player. The 630 is a more conventional all-in-one unit, with its iPod dock housed in the main unit. Both systems also offer SD card connectivity.
Due later this year, they’ll retails for $199 (around £100) in the US, probably more when they eventually hit the UK.
