Steve Jobs: "Don't buy iPhone from an Apple Store"

What’s that? Surely Apple’s head honcho wouldn’t try and put people off buying the iPhone from the company’s own shops? But it’s true according to blogger Arianna Huffington, who had a chat with Steve earlier this week.

“Don’t go to an Apple store. It will be a madhouse there,” he told her. “People will be lined up around the block, sleeping on the sidewalk to get one. Go to an AT&T/Cingular store. Most people don’t know that they will be selling them too.”

That sound you can hear is hundreds of AT&T retail managers scratching out all staff holidays on their calendars for the month of June…
