The football boots that stamp fertilizer into the pitch
Let’s be honest: the pitch at the new Wembley Stadium is a bit of a dog. It cuts up rough with every slide tackle, leaving divots all over the place, and impeding England’s scintillating passing tactics like… Oh.
Alright, so I can’t blame the Wembley pitch for England’s aimless hoofery, but still, it’s hardly the ideal surface for slick soccer skills. Here’s one answer: the Naturistick Fertilizing Studs. Designed by Daniel Wilhelms, every time they hit the ground, these football boot studs release a shot of fertilizer into the turf.
The result: super-lush verdant pitches, and if players dive, they end up smelling of manure. Everyone’s a winner. Plus, little magnetic discs attached to the studs can be used to plan tactics on the supplied clipboard. Although what’s wrong with the traditional salt and pepper pots, eh?
