Fujitsu FOMA F704i – the underwater mobile phone

How this girl might laugh – while her friends are stuck on dry land sending SMS messages, she has her hands on the Fujitsu FOMA F704i, which you can take in the pool with you.

I can’t for a minute imagine it’s safe to use a phone in the pool, water-tight or not (in fact, if this was the 70s, we would probably get a public information film all about the dangers). But if you must do it, this phone has a 1.3 megapixel camera, MP3 player (with DRM compatibility) and the ability to withstand water up to three metres down.

Far East only right now, but it’s only a matter of time before something similar hits Europe.
