KEF’s Picoforte One iPod music system
KEF – silly name, but a decent high-end hi-fi maker. And now it’s shifting that expertise into the iPod add-on sector with the Picoforte One.
It’s likely to be one of the more expensive accessories on the rack, but it does look significantly more costly than the competition – and should sound better than most too. Made from full die-cast zinc, it features 16cm full-metal speakers with 25W of output from your Apple player. In fact, it doesn’t need to be Apple – there’s a 3.5mm jack for wider connectivity and S-Video for watching videos on a larger screen.
Sold with a credit card-sized remote, it should be available next month for around £250.
