Lenovo launches premium leather laptop – yours for $5,000
Do you own a Vertu handset? Do you store your data on a Mii Stor Snow drive? Well, that probably makes you the target market for the Lenovo Reserve Edition laptop.
Yes, it’s not exactly aimed at the super rich, but people who just like throwing their money around on things that look good. For your $5,000 outlay, you get a laptop that’s covered in fine leather, “handcrafted by expert saddle makers”, as well as “supple to your touch and becomes more unique with every use”. Oh yes, and it’s a limited edition and numbered too.
Other selling points include superior support with real people available 24 hours a day and warranty support on most major cities. Oh yes, and it packs a Core 2 Duo L7500, 2GB of RAM, seven hour battery life, Vista Ultimate and Office 2007. Worth $5,000? I think I’ll pass.
