Manga coming to the iPhone
Japanese company Voice Bank has detailed a deal with the Digital Manga Association Japan to format their comic books specially for the iPhone.
Voice Bank’s converter shrinks the made-for-PC pages to a size suitable for the iPhone, and believes that the touch sensitive screen is perfect for the panel-based graphics.
Though it’s not clear exactly how the system will work, what would be really cool is if the pages can be pinched in and out in the same way as web pages and photos can be. Perhaps pages could be ‘flipped’ with a finger swipe.
Or, perhaps it’ll just be like a comic displayed on a mobile phone screen.
