Samsung unveils new NV Series – including 12 megapixel NV20 camera
Three new and indeed slightly similar digital cameras on the market from Samsung – the NV8, NV15 and NV20.
All three use Samsung’s Smart Touch User Interface and new enhancements, including improved processing technology, faster Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) to 0.7 seconds, advanced noise reduction which supports up to ISO 3200 and a new local contrast control which enables the camera to compensate the brightness of a shadowed subject in backlit conditions for even better results.
The NV20 is Samsung’s first 12 megapixel compact camera. It also offers 3x optical zoom lens, 2.5-inch screen, Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) and Red-eye fix, TV quality MPEG-4 VGA (640×480) 30fps video recording and a photo gallery function.
The NV15 is a 10 megapixel camera with 2.5-inch wide-view LCD, Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) system, TV quality MPEG-4 video recording and a rechargeable battery. Finally, the NV8 is an eight megapixel camera, again with ASR and Red Eye Fix, 3x optical zoom and a 2.5-inch LCD screen.
The NV20 is priced at £249, NV15 at £229 and NV8 at £199. All will be available from September 2007.
