Samsung's new L-series cameras – 7 megapixel L730 and the 8 megapixel L830
Two more new cameras from Samsung – the 7 megapixel L730 and the 8 megapixel L830.
But for the pixel count, these cameras are essentially the same. Both feature Samsung’s Intelligent Face Recognition Technology, which detects the subject’s face and automatically adjusts auto focus and auto exposure to ensure better composition and image quality in portraits. The AF function instantaneously recognises the faces of subjects and accurately focuses on them, then the AE function takes over, setting the appropriate exposure.
Both also feature 3x optical zoom, an ISO equivalent of 1600, 2.5-inch LCD display, movie mode, editing features, 16MB of storage and an SD slot. The Samsung L730 and L830 will both be available from the end of August with an RRP of £119 for the L730 and £149 for the L830.
