It still doesn’t seem right that Sony is knocking out all these iPod accessories. It might as well wave a white flag in the great portable music player war. But they continue to appear almost monthly, the latest of which are the ICF-C1IP alarm clock and ZS-S2IP boombox iPod docks.

The radio, which is available in black or white), offers playback of your tunes, controlled by the accompanying remote control. It also has AM/FM reception, dual alarms and an “adjustable backstop mechanism” to keep your iPod secure. The Boombox has a retractable dock tray (if, for some bizarre reason, you bought one but don’t have an iPod), AM/FM tuner, CD player with support for CD-R/RW media and a wireless remote.

Both should appear in the US in August for $100 each. No news of a European launch as yet.
