Sony Walkman Abiste E010 – jewel-encrusted players
Sony might not be top dog in the portable player market anymore, but it’s not giving up without a fight. This time it’s chasing the female market with the Sony Walkman Abiste E010 – which is just an E-series Walkman with a load of jewels stuck on top.
Available for pre-order in Japan, the E010 is a joint venture with Japanese jeweller Abiste, offering players in a choice of blue, gold, pink, violet and black, each coated in Swarovski glass crystals and with a lanyard and clip sporting the same matching stones.
As for spec, well there’s a healthy 30-hour battery life, three-line colour LCD and a choice of capacity – 1GB, 2GB and 4GB. Available from September, they’re priced from the equivalent of £65.
