The real reason why GTA IV was absent from Sony's E3 PS3 presentation
Tabloid-style headlines rule, don’t you think? Anyway, the story behind it is the mysterious lack of any Grand Theft Auto IV footage in Sony’s E3 PS3 presentation. Microsoft made a big deal out of the game’s Xbox 360 version, yet it was absent from Sony’s glitzy video.
Why? According to Sony, Rockstar couldn’t be arsed to send them footage. Or, as SCEA’s Dave Karraker puts it: “We sent an email out to every publisher and said send us your videos that you want put in the press conference, and they never sent it. Not much more you can say about that.”
Ouch.
