This week's Top 5 new Facebook applications: Fantasy Cricket, Storyline, Tetris, and more…
Cor. There are now 1,625 Facebook applications available. Someone, somewhere is putting every single one on their profile, I hope. But for those of you who prefer to cherry-pick your widgets, here’s this week’s crop of five new Facebook apps worth checking out.
1. Friends Organiser. A much-needed app to organise your many Facebook friends into clusters – family, schoolfriends, work contacts, casual shagbuddies and so on. GET IT
2. Fantasy Cricket. Pick your team of 11 players from the world’s greatest cricketers, and score points based on how well they perform in real life (i.e. don’t pick anyone from England’s one-day squad). GET IT
3. Friend Statistics. Neat little widget that provides statistical analysis of all your friends – what the male/female split is, who’s writing the most wall posts, and their age distribution. More stats to come, promises the coder. GET IT
4. Storyline. Y’know that game where someone writes a line of a story, then passes it on to the next person, who writes a line, and passes it on, and… Anyway, this is the Facebook equivalent, tapping the creativity of you and yer mates – well, your ability to not descend into softcore smut within 12 lines, anyway. GET IT
5. Tetris Tournament. Tetris. Against your Facebook friends. Genius. GET IT
