Creative launches credit card-sized Zen MP3 player – with iTunes support
Creative has taken the bold step of offering iTunes support in its latest MP3 player – the credit card-sized Zen.
Yes, for the first time, Creative is supporting music in AAC format (only non-protected files), as well as MP3, WMA and M4A, along with video support for WMV and DivX/XviD. Available in capacities of 4GB, 8GB and 16GB, the players have additional storage via SD slot, as well as a 2.5-inch, 16.7 million colour screen, a rechargeable battery for up to 25 hours of music or 5 hours of video, a built-in FM radio with 32 station presets, a voice recorder, and a personal organiser which can synchronise contacts, ‘to do’ lists, and calendars with Microsoft Outlook.
It’s going to be on show at IFA, so we should have a hands-on later in the week. On the meantime, you can budget for the selling prices of £99.99 (4GB) and £139.99 (8GB). A price for the 16GB model is still to be confirmed.
