Getac launches V100 rugged notebook/tablet PC
Looked for something a little more rugged that your standard notebook? Getac could answer your needs with its newly-launched V100 notebook/tablet PC.
Housed in a magnesium alloy casing, the 2.2 KG ultra-light V100 features a rotating, polarised touch screen 10.4-inch WXGA TFT LCD display, enabling it to transform from a notebook into a tablet PC. There’s also a reversible waterproof 1.3 megapixel camera – although the whole thing is protected from heavy rain, spillages, dust and debris.
Other points of note include a removable hard drive with anti-shock and anti-vibration, an Intel Core Duo ULV 1.2 GHz processor, six-hour battery life, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and up to 2GB memory. No price confirmed as yet.
