Lenovo wants you as an Olympic Torch bearer in Beijing
To your left, you will see the Olympic Torch, designed by Lenovo for the Beijing Olympics. And it wants you to carry it.
Well, not you exactly, but it could be you. The company is after ‘the world’s most innovative thinkers’ to participate in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay. Via the Lenovo site, you will have to show you are a ‘motivator’, ‘provocative’, ‘imaginative’, ‘individualistic’ and an ‘explorer’. 20 entrants will then be selected to create and submit videos on YouTube showcasing how they ‘exhibit the Olympic ideals and new thinking’.
Visitors can cast their votes on the videos in October, and the top three vote-getters will be nominated by Lenovo to be torchbearers for the 2008 Olympic Torch Relay. All sounds like hard work to me, but if you fancy a jog round China with a burning stick, get in there.

That’s a really really cool looking torch- even the swirly insides.
