Shape Services offers Skype on the iPhone
The first bills are trickling through for iPhone customers, and judging by reports – heck, videos too – they’re long to say the least, as users are calling all and sundry, and even developing a closer relationship to their grans all of a sudden.
The news that Shape Services has released a Skype service for the Apple phone will be music to iPhone users’ ears. It’s web-based so navigates the iPhone’s third-party app unfriendliness perfectly, and allows for IM chat, Skype to Skype calls, and even calls to regular phones if you’ve upgraded to a SkypeOut account.
It’s currently free whilst in beta testing, but after it launches properly, you will be charged a small fee on SkypeOut rates.
