Skype to come ready installed on selected Toshiba notebooks
Skype has announced that it’s done a deal to make its VoIP Internet communications software available on a selection of Toshiba’s range of notebook computers, including Satellite, Tecra, Portege, and Qosmio.
Those with built-in webcams and microphones — the Satellite A215, Satellite X205, Tecra
M8 and Qosmio F45 series — can instantly benefit from Skype, with the logo appearing adjacent to the webcam, and a Skype icon appearing on the desktop for quick access to the software.
Though this is initially rolling out in the US, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the branding extend globally in the near future.
