Sony unveils H3 – smallest high-zoom Cyber-shot camera
Looking for a small camera with a big zoom? The Sony Cyber-shot H3 could be for you.
This 8.1 megapixel camera packs in a Carl Zeiss 10x zoom lens, with magnification boosted further by the 17x HD Smart Zoom (in 16:9 shooting mode) for telephoto images you can view on a HD-Ready television. Other features include Face Detection for your ‘people’ pictures, enhanced autofocus, Dynamic Range Optimiser (DRO) to improve the natural look of your photos, Advanced Sports Shooting Mode (1/2000 sec shutter speed and predictive autofocus) for capturing fast-moving subjects and double anti-blur to compensate for that unsteady hand.
There’s also Photo TV HD, which allows you to capture images in HD, then playback on a HD-ready TV as a slideshow, with visual effects and music too if you wish. Easy picture retouching is also included offering basic editing, red-eye reduction and trim functions.
The Cyber-shot H3 will be available throughout Europe from the beginning of September 2007. Price still to be confirmed.
