Thomson claims world's smallest PMP with 3-inch screen – the A1

Thomson has got in an early pitch for the week’s boldest claim with the Thomson A1, said to be the world’s smallest PMP with a 3-inch screen.
That 3-inch screen is a 16:9 high-def TFT screen in a stainless steel unit measuring 82 x 50.9 x 13mm and weighing about 87g. It plays AVI (24fps), MP3, WMA and WAV audio, as well as viewing JPG and BMP images. And there’s an FM tuner with recording.
Quoted prices for the device are around £55 for the 4GB and around £62 for the 8GB. China will get it first, with Europe hopefully to follow.
