YouTube Video of the Day – The invisible water effect

This video is only a short one… but it’s still loads of fun. The scientists among you may already know that hydrogen is less dense then air surrounding it, which means you can create an ‘invisible water effect’. If only they’d done things like this at my school!

Cool effect, but gas is definately not Hydrogen. If it was, then it would quickly rise to the ceiling, being ‘lighter’ than air you see. To support the boat, the gas in the tank must be heavier than air, in the same way as the water it’s substituting is also heavier than air.
