Altec Lansing launches Orbit – ultra-portable iPod speaker

Altec Lansing has a new circular speaker on the market – the Orbit.
Battery-powered, the speaker is lightweight and shock-resistant, as well as being small enough to pop into a bag. It also promises decent sound, using ‘Fusion 360’ technology to project a 360-degree sound field from your player.
Other features include an on/off function by twisting the speaker so it won’t accidentally turn on in transit and cable storage around the speaker. 3x AAA batteries gives 24 hours of playback, with the Orbit retailing for £29.99.
