Hitachi W53H – phone meets GPS
Hitachi has just launched the W53H handset (also known as the Wooo) in Japan, offering phone functionality alongside satellite navigation.
Three colours available – Japan Black, Nordic White, and Euro Purple – with features of the slim handset including a 2.8-inch OLED screen with 10000:1 contrast ratio, 2 megapixel camera with video recording and a TV receiver (with up to 4.5 hours viewing per charge). There’s also GPS, with directions offered by sound and vibration and the option to search for a location via voice input.
All sounds impressive – let’s hope something similar makes it to Europe, unlikely as that may be.
