More Star Wars geekery – R2D2 desktop speakers
Let’s be honest, you can release a Star Wars-themed tooth pick or cocktail stirrer and they would shift a few units. Make something useful (and with appeal to IT professonals) like these R2D2 desktop speakers and you can safely assume they will sell by the bucket load.
Released in December by Taito Japan, two R2’s are sold together in a set in blue and orange, each standing 12cm high. You can connect to a computer or MP3 player via a standard 3.5mm stereo plug, with a flip of the head opening up the speakers for use.
Cheap too – these sell for $40 (£20) online – and you can get your pre-order in now.
