Jeep Renegade concept hybrid is straight outta Halo
This isn’t just a “bit like” Halo 3’s Warthog multi-personnel deathwagon, it’s practically identical. The same big wheels. The same front end. The same curvy wheel arches. The same roofless design. The same low-profile active camouflage green. The same cut-away back bit for angry space marines to stand on and fire turret guns into the vulnerable cargo bays of attacking alien spaceships.
The Renegade itself is a battery-backed off-roader, one that Jeep claims is capable of doing around 110mpg when combining battery power and its diesel engine, with a range of 40 miles on battery alone. At least, it might do when/if it ever progresses further down the line to reality than its current concept sketch form.
If they can’t be bothered to knock-up a computer generated image they’re clearly not that keen on actually going ahead with it. This is just to keep the shareholders happy by pretending they actually give a toss about electric cars.
