MySpace launches film channel – Trailer Park
After making a name with music, MySpace is now trying to take some ownership of the movie industry with Trailer Park.
The UK-based Trailer Park site will allow film promoters to post trailers for up and coming releases – knowing they’ll be posted directly to film fans. Trailers featured on the channel will receive editorial support across MySpace, not to mention a push on the main MySpace page. And on the other side, film fans will get film information, links to official sites and the ability to add the trailer to a personal site.
The first film studio to make use of the channel is 20th Century Fox, showcasing the trailer for Lions For Lambs.
