Penguin and MySpace offer fans the chance to create the next Bond theme
It’s surely every Bond fan’s dream – to write and record a James Bond theme. And now you have the chance to do just that, as well as win £1,000 of music equipment to go with the honour.
But when I say theme, it’s not the film theme. Penguin has teamed up with MySpace to offer fans the chance to create an original theme to the new James Bond novel, Devil May Care by Sebastian Faulks, which is published on 28th May.
The winning track will become the book’s official theme tune and will be featured on the Devil May Care audio book, published on the same day. The tune will also be offered as a free digital download. The competition is open to all musicians, with the deadline for entries being 25th February. A shortlist will then be chosen, with five tracks going to a public vote. Full details on the website.
