Tesla Roadster set to hit the road March 17th of this year!
The car which possibly everyone has been waiting for has finally been given the nod from the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards dudes, and is now legal for sale – in 50 of the US states.
It’s been years in the making, but now the $100,000 Roadster can begin production on March 17th, after passing beautifully in all front, rear and side crash tests. Not only that, but the electric motor-powered car passed on the basic rear view mirror, lighting and windshield defogging and defrosting tests.
With just two-seats, the Roadster may be electric, but can get up to speeds of 201km per hour, and run for 400km on a single charge. Sadly all 650 models for this year have been reserved already, and for now, they’re just US-bound.
